Please join us Friday December 8th for our Holiday Show with Chris White at the Dementia Society Centre!

Get ready to sing-a-long, and join in playing the drums, kazoos, and shakers.  Our animated and energetic group leader, Chris White, engages participants using rhythm, song, gesture, dance, and humour in the spirit of friendship and fun.  You can expect to engage with the group, sharing stories, and requesting songs.

Embrace the holiday spirit with an afternoon of festive cheer!

About Chris White

Chris is a singer, guitarist, songwriter, and performer. He co-founded the Ottawa Folk Festival in 1993 and has served as Artistic Director for 16 years. Among our participants, Chris is famous for his engaging and infectious stage presence through which he always gets his audiences to sing along enthusiastically. He has also released three albums of original songs – “I’m a Poet… and I’m Aware of It”, “Inner Voice”, and “Music All Around”.

Arts and Minds Creative Crafts and Cards is a weekly program hosted by an instructor that guides caregivers and the peson they are caring for through themed card making. The instructor curates packages based on holidays and season that get delviered staight to the door of those registered.

Experience the joy and the power of music. Joyful Sound Ottawa is an intergenerational community choir for people with memory loss, their caregivers, and friends. Participants will form a choir and sing along with their peers resulting in a performance at the end of the series.
