DementiAbility Training for Caregivers

About This Program

This workshop is meant for caregivers supporting someone living with dementia to better understand how the connections between the brain, life story, environment and behaviour The workshop will cover the importance of “knowing the person”,  how this impacts behaviour and how to manage what to do, to address needs; to set each person up for success, enhance function, enable abilities, and engage each person in a world with meaning, purpose, leisure and pleasure.

This workshop runs for 4 consecutive weeks. Each week builds upon the knowledge gained from the previous week, so you must be available for all sessions.

There is a 50$ workbook cost.

Learn about optimizing cognitive health through lifestyle choices and social support. This education sessions is intended for people who are experiencing Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and their close family members/friends. MCI involves memory loss that is greater than expected for ones age but not enough to compromise ones ability to carry out daily activities.
