Join us for an informative session on the legal rights and responsibilities in the employment context for caregivers with Raphaëlle Laframboise-Carignan from RavenLaw . Raphaëlle, a Partner at RavenLaw, has extensive experience advocating for social justice and human rights; specifically, she practice in employment and Labour Law. She has represented clients on different legal matters and handles cases at both the federal and provincial levels.

This session will cover key legal considerations for caregivers, including rights, responsibilities, and resources to navigate complex situations regarding employment, accommodation and disability benefits.

About Raphaëlle Laframboise-Carignan

Raphaëlle Laframboise-Carignan is a bilingual lawyer specializing in labour, employment, human rights, and constitutional law. She brings experience advocating for individuals facing workplace challenges, including wrongful dismissal, disability benefits, and accommodation needs.

With a strong commitment to social justice, Raphaëlle has supported low-income clients through the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. She holds Civil (magna cum laude) and Common law (cum laude) degrees from the University of Ottawa’s Programme de droit canadien.

Beyond her legal work, Raphaëlle has contributed to international organizations, including the Organization of American States, and has experience as an election observer. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and exploring Algonquin Park by canoe.
