Neighbourhood Walk for Dementia 2024
Dementia is a devastating, chronic illness that can be tremendously challenging for individuals, their caregivers and families. The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County provides vital, on-site and virtual support, education, and services for all people facing dementia.
Your Neighbourhood Walk for Dementia, in support of The Dementia Society, can take place anytime in September 2024.
Participating organizations can register a team and individual residents to their team and enlist friends and family members’ support. When you donate to a Neighbourhood Walk for Dementia team, your gift goes to support the Dementia Society and directly helps people facing dementia in Ottawa and Renfrew County.
Make your Neighbourhood Walk for Dementia a fun event with resources from the Dementia Society.
At your request, your own Neighbourhood Walk for Dementia Kit will be delivered to your location.
Your Kit includes a How-To Guide, a communication toolkit, and items to decorate your own Neighbourhood Walk for Dementia Wall, posters, donation forms, information and pins for participants, an event T-shirt for your Neighbourhood Walk Leader, and more!
