Education

  • NEW - Monday, May 11 @ 12pm - Fireside Chat with a Dementia Care Coach and Caregiver -  An intimate conversation between a caregiver and a dementia care coach and their journey over the years. 
  • NEW - Tuesday, May 12 @ 5pm - The Challenge of COVID -19 & Persons Living with Dementia - A conversation with Dr. Frank Knoefel from the Bruyere Memory Program on COVID - 19. 
  • NEW - Wednesday, May 13 @ 12pm - Anxiety & Caregiving: Tips & Tools to deal with Anxiety - This interactive Zoom Session with Robyn and Charlotte will entertain and educate you with what this “new normal” looks like and how to deal with all the emotions and challenges that come with this.
  • NEW - Thursday, May 14 @ 1pm - Supporting Dementia -This fundamental learning series will provide you with education, communication tips, and tools you need to support someone living with dementia. 

Meaningful Activities

  • NEW - We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Virtual Respite Program, where persons living with dementia will have the opportunity to be matched with volunteers for regular virtual visits. Visits can be tailored to each individual’s interests and hobbies, and could take the form of either simple chatting or planned sessions involving music, singing, photo slideshows, or videos.  Virtual Respite Visits can take place on a variety of different platforms based on comfort levels and personal preference, and might include telephone, Zoom, Facetime, or another mutually agreed upon technology. If you are interested in signing up to be matched with a volunteer, please click here to submit your request online.
  • NEW - Arts and Minds and Circle of Song sing-a-long classes are now on YouTube for on-demand viewing.
  • Mondays @ 10:30am  -The Dementia Society is proud to present our live music program Turquoise sing-a-long.
  • Wednesdays @ 3pm - Let's Get Moving live online
