The 2025 Walk for Dementia raised over $265,000

The 2025 Walk for Dementia was a powerful celebration of community, connection, and compassion.

It was a beautiful end-of-summer day in Ottawa when our dedicated community gathered Sunday September 21 at The Dementia Society Centre on St. Laurent Blvd. (You can see coverage of the event from CTV Ottawa.)

Thanks to the unwavering support of so many, we raised over $265,000 to help local families impacted by dementia.

The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County set a bold goal of $300,000 because the need in our community is growing rapidly. Over 24,000 people are affected by dementia today. That number is expected to more than double in the next 25 years. To meet that need, we must continue to raise the bar each year.

To our corporate partners, supporting sponsors, brain boost sponsors, donors, and supporters: thank you for standing with us.

You’ve helped us come so far already, and every dollar raised brings us closer to a more caring, inclusive, and dementia-friendly future.

Your generosity fuels programs, services, and hope for thousands of families across Ottawa and Renfrew County.

Let’s keep the momentum going into next year and the year after so that we can make sure no one faces dementia alone.

Join us again in 2026!

The Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County will continue its fundraising and community-building tradition for a 30th year on Sunday September 20, 2026.
