This online resource provides knowledge, tools, and guidance that help you understand dementia and brain health, empowering you to navigate your own unique dementia path. Each module has been designed to be completed in 15 minutes.

This module explores the relationship between brain health, dementia, aging, and cognitive well-being. The three courses, Mind Your Brain Health, Understanding Mild Cognitive Impairment, and Brain Anatomy Basics and Aging, will teach you how to maintain a healthy brain, understand risk factors and identify the signs of cognitive decline and dementia.
This module introduces you to dementia and dementia care. The three courses, What is Dementia, Acknowledging a Dementia Diagnosis, and Planning after a Dementia Diagnosis, will explore the basics of dementia, providing a better understanding of what it is and how it affects someone’s life. You will also learn strategies to support someone with dementia effectively.
This module focuses on those who have already had a dementia diagnosis or are caring for someone with dementia. The two courses, Dementia and Maintaining Independence and Financial and Planning Considerations, provide informative and practical strategies for navigating dementia care and daily living.
This module is for caregivers of people living with dementia. The six courses, 10 Tips for Staying Safe in Your Home, Understanding and Responding to Behavioural and Psychological Changes, Positive Approach for Caregivers, DementiAbility Training for Caregivers, Gentle Persuasive Approaches, and Managing Medication, will teach you about the unique challenges that caregivers experience and provide tools to care for someone with dementia effectively.
This module focuses on the importance of caregiver well-being. The two courses, Strategies for Caregiver Wellness and Avoiding Caregiver Burnout, provide strategies for maintaining health and wellness while caring for someone living with dementia.
This module explores practical tips and strategies for living with dementia and caring for someone with dementia. The five courses, Ways to be Dementia Inclusive, Technologies to Help Maintain Independence, Tips for Personal Care, and Tips for Communicating, equip you with the knowledge to support a positive dementia experience.
This module explores important information and considerations for the later stages of dementia care. The five courses, Considerations for Long-Term Care, Hospitals, Hospice and Palliative Care, Common Health Crises, End of Life Care, and Grief and Loss, will provide knowledge and support to caregivers preparing for long-term care, acute care, and end-of-life care.
