After a business or service organization completes the training, they are offered a complimentary “Business Audit”. This is an assessment of the current physical state of a business. It includes a checklist of small changes that business owners and employees can make so that people living with dementia feel comfortable. The audit (checklist) can be completed by staff or with a person from The Dementia Society.
Giant Tiger completed an in-person business audit and learned to add colour contrast to the washroom to prevent falls. Giant Tiger corporate has also adopted the training module into their own training platform so that all managers and owners across Canada can be trained as dementia inclusive.
