In-Person Support Group in May in Kanata

About This Program

Join our monthly Kanata caregiver peer support group to connect with others who truly understand your journey. In a typical session, you can expect open and guided discussions about caregiving challenges, shared strategies, and resources tailored to your needs. Co-facilitated by someone with personal caregiving experience and a trained Dementia Society Care Coach, the group offers a space to feel heard, understood, and supported.

Benefits of attending: Gain emotional support, practical tips, and the reassurance that you’re not alone in navigating dementia caregiving.

A concurrent social group for individuals living with dementia is available at the same location.

This program is intended for caregivers, care partners, family members, or friends.

Please note that you must register online to join this program. If you are bringing the person you are caring for, you will be able to let us know during the registration process.

Furthermore, to assist with staff scheduling for the activity group for people living with dementia, if you have registered a person living with dementia to join the activity group, we kindly ask that you notify us at least one day in advance if they no longer plan to attend.

If any issues arise during the registration process, please call 613-523-4004 ext. 2 for support.
