Turquoise Live with Sid and Chris

About This Program

Please join us in-person at the Dementia Society Centre to participate in Turquoise Live with Sid and Chris.

Turquoise is a music program that engages participants using rhythm, song, gesture, dance, and humour in the spirit of friendship and fun.  Get ready to sing-a-long with fellow participants and the energetic group leaders, Chris White and Sid Ameen.  You can expect to engage with the group, share stories, and request songs.

Turquoise is a stone historically associated with protection, healing, and good fortune.  It is believed to promote positive energy, assist with communication, enhance creativity, and bring balance—all fitting qualities considering the group’s objectives. The name “Turquoise” is inspired by its significance to both the heart and throat chakras—green for the heart and blue for the throat.  Combining the colours makes turquoise, an appropriate colour for a group that emphasizes “singing from the heart.”

Turquoise with Sid and Chris also takes place weekly over Zoom.  To learn more, click HERE.
