The Daisy Café

About This Program

The Daisy Café is a weekly social engagement program that provides activities and respite. The objective of the Daisy Café is to encourage connection, understanding and community between people living with dementia, caregivers and volunteers.

  • People living with early to mid-staged dementia are encouraged to make connections with their peers and participate in group activities, preparing them for future group events such as adult day programs.
  • Caregivers are offered a short respite window to take time for themselves, connect with other care partners, and learn about the various community support services from onsite staff.

At the Daisy Café, we create personalized experiences designed to engage each participant’s unique needs and interests. Our goal is to ensure that every individual feels valued, empowered, and enjoys a meaningful and enriching experience in a warm and welcoming environment. Below are some of the activities that we offer:

  • Trivia
  • Bingo with prizes
  • Brain games such as Sudoku, matching games, counting games, etc.
  • Card games such as Uno, Rummy and Cribbage
  • Physical activity such as group stretches, bean bag toss, and dancing
  • Musical performances
  • Art activities

The Daisy Café takes place in Ottawa, Renfrew County and Orleans (French speaking). Please connect with your Dementia Care Coach to learn more about upcoming dates, times and pricing.
