Arts and Minds: Creative Cards and Crafts

About This Program

Creative Crafts and Cards is a weekly program that guides caregivers and the person they are caring for through themed card making based on holidays and seasons. One of these weekly classes is usually a fun and fold session where participants can learn innovative folding and origami methods to create stunning cards. All the needed materials is provided for attendees to make the most of their participation.

Arts and Minds series is an opportunity for people living with dementia and their partner to explore and experience art. Art projects can create a sense of accomplishment and purpose. They can provide the person with dementia — as well as caregivers — an opportunity for self-expression. Instructors guide participants through an art class. Participants receive art supplies to engage in the activity and follow along with the instructor.
