This program covers the legal and financial issues that will come into play, today and tomorrow. Learn how to manage finances, the responsibilities of a power of attorney, disability credits, taxes and more.
This program is suited for individuals living with dementia, their caregivers, and family members who want to gain a better understanding of financial and legal matters associated with dementia to help make informed decisions for the future.
Dr. Neil Thomas is a Cognitive and Behavioral Neurologist at the Bruyère Memory Program, an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Department of Medicine, University of Ottawa and an Affiliate Investigator, Bruyère Health Research Institute in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He holds a BSc and MSc in Neuroscience from Queen’s University. He completed his MD and neurology residency training at the University of Ottawa, and a Fellowship in Geriatric Neurology at the Oregon Health and Science University.
