About This Program

This education session is intended for people who are experiencing Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), their close family members and friends, as well as anyone noticing changes or decline in memory. MCI involves memory loss that is greater than expected for one’s age, but not severe enough to interfere significantly with daily life and independence.

In this session, you will learn about:

  • What MCI is and how it is diagnosed

  • How MCI differs from dementia

  • The different types (classification) of MCI

  • Updates on biomarkers and what is currently available in Canada

  • The latest information on treatment options

  • Opportunities to participate in MCI research at Bruyère
