About This Video

This education session is intended for people who are experiencing Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and their close family members/friends. MCI involves memory loss that is greater than expected for one’s age but not enough to compromise one’s ability to carry out daily activities.

Our guest speaker, Dr. Neil Thomas MD, FRCPC, MSc, presented this education session in 2025.

In this session, you will learn about:

• What MCI is and how it is diagnosed
• How MCI differs from dementia
• The different types (classification) of MCI
• Updates on biomarkers and what is currently available in Canada
• The latest information on treatment options
• Opportunities to participate in MCI research at Bruyère Health
