Daisy Café in May

About This Program

Program Overview

The Daisy Café is a social engagement program designed to provide meaningful activities for people living with dementia, while also offering caregivers a valuable opportunity for connection and respite.

Our goal is to foster connection, understanding, and a sense of community among participants, caregivers, and volunteers in a warm and supportive environment.

Participants benefit from a structured group setting where they can build peer relationships, engage in enjoyable activities, and gain confidence in social environments; helping prepare them for future programs such as Adult Day Programs.

What to Expect

Each Daisy Café session offers a variety of engaging activities tailored to participants’ interests and abilities. These may include:

  • Trivia
  • Bingo with prizes
  • Brain games (e.g., Sudoku, matching, counting games)
  • Card games (e.g., Uno, Rummy, Cribbage)
  • Gentle physical activities (stretching, bean bag toss, dancing)
  • Musical performances
  • Art-based activities

Our focus is on creating positive, personalized experiences where each participant feels valued, included, and supported.

For Caregivers

Daisy Café also provides meaningful support for caregivers. While participants are engaged in the program, caregivers can:

  • Connect with other care partners
  • Enjoy a short period of respite
  • Learn about community resources and supports
  • Speak with onsite Dementia Society staff for guidance

Caregivers are welcome to stay onsite or step away during the session, depending on their needs.
