In-person Event
Join instructor Bea Alt for a welcoming monthly pole-walking group designed to help you get active, build confidence, and prepare for the 1 km Walk for Dementia. Participants will enjoy guided walks around the Dementia Society grounds while learning pole-walking techniques and connecting with others in a supportive community environment.
About the Walk
This year, we proudly celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Walk for Dementia, hosted by the amazing Sam Laprade.
Join Ottawa families, caregivers, and supporters as we come together to raise awareness, fund vital local programs, and walk toward a future where no one faces dementia alone.
We’re celebrating three decades of community, compassion, and making a difference together — and this pole-walking group is a wonderful way to start your journey toward the Walk!
Please note
Walking poles are not provided. Participants are asked to bring their own poles.
